Making sure each of our shining stars reaches their maximum potential...
We have divided our school into 4 classrooms that specialise in 4 different areas of learning, and in each classroom are 2 carers. These carers have no formal training other than short government sponsored courses, but have developed expertise in these areas to the extent that the Department of Social Welfare now sends students to us for training! The learners move from classroom to classroom each day and in this way all learners know and respond to all the carers while also receiving stimulation in all learning areas by carers who have been given the time to develop insightful techniques.
The 4 classrooms are:

The learners are also fed twice a day with food from our food garden or generous donors. In this way we can ensure the learners have the energy and concentration levels to truly grow and develop at Nkanyezi.
