                              A safe place for children with multiple disabilities 

Here at Nkanyezi we celebrate the unique beauty of each and every individual. We care for children with a variety of disabilities, by providing them with a safe place to interact, play, learn and grow. We fondly refer to these children as ‘our little shining stars’.

This website, just like our stimulation centre in Soweto, is dedicated to the development of our shining stars. So if you want to share in our joy when one of our  little ones reaches a developmental milestone or if you want to learn about the team of dedicated volunteers that run the centre click on our shining stars - big and small and if you want to know how you can help click on  become a star supporter!

Alternatively, friendly faces are always welcome, so if you are in the area, please come and visit us! 

The children are offered physical therapy, emotional and intellectual stimulation and are taught to be as self-sufficient as is possible considering their individual disabilities.

The centre is run by community members of the area and in order to support the centre (as many of the parents cannot afford to contribute financially) a food garden is run (to feed the children and staff PLUS through the selling of excess produce) and beaded crafts are sold.
